| The Americans didn't even join WWI until one of their boats were sunk by accident by a German U-boat and i'm pretty sure it was the same for WWII, they didn't get involved until they were attacked. |

| While I agree with most of what you say, I don't think that the French helped out of friendship. More out of their hatred for the English and took every chance to undermime them. Reason being the French waited until the Americans won a battle to send aid. Of course this is just my view on it. |
