| Darwin's theory actually has nothing to do with "stronger" or "weaker". His concept of "survival of the fitest" isn't the same as survival of the strongest. If the smallest organism of the species can fit between rocks and survive a flood and live to reproduce then that characteristic will be passed on. A genetic mutation that proves advantageous will shape the species in new directions. Survival of the strongest was a willful misreading of Darwinism by the so-called social darwinians. |
