He definatly started to play "Less Than Zero".I remeber he got as far as "calling Mr Oswald with the swastika tattoe"before he stopped and switched. A TV moment I will never forget.

As I remember...he started "Allison"...and he had asked Lorne NOT to do 2 slow songs in a row (one being "watching the detectives...which was great)...he turned to the band and said "Radio"....and hence one of the classic SNL live performances ever...fuck Lorne...

According to Declan, when he appeared on Letterman, the "Radio,Radio" performance resulted in Elvis being banned from SNL for years--whether that came from Lorne or the upper brass at NBC(which was owned by RCA at the time, and owned(s) radio staions) I guess we'll never know until one (or the other owns up to it)--Declan McManus RULES
