Ellen Foley sang on the album, this is Karla Devito. Ellen Foley was on the first season of Night Court. Meatloaf was lost with out Steinman.

The girl is Karla DeVito. Search on "Meat Loaf 1978" for videos of Karla and Meat singing this song live.

This song was written and arranged by Jim Steinman, as was the rest of the Bat out of Hell album. Meatloaf, obviously, is performing it with the help of Todd Rundgren (another genius who produced it) and select members of the E Street Band."You gotta do what you can...And let Mother Nature do the rest."

Timeless song. All of Jim Steinman's songs are great anthems. However I've found that people either fantatically love his work (like yours truly) or are irritated by it.There are a couple of E Street (Springsteen) musicians playing on this cut.It was long agoAnd it was far away...
